this is my latest post on Facebook. dont you just agree with me?! its much worse if a guy does that to his girlfriend. hes just.. not a guy. lol. okay, so i had my lesson at my place last night and my teacher dropped a bomb on me. remember me saying that im taking my exam in September? apparently she says i dont have to wait till then to do it, i can do it in July. i was like, whattt??? and sure enough, it gave me insomnia last night cos my whole mind was revolving around the exam and the exam pieces. good lord! i have 5 months to go and i've just started on Grade 1 Sight-Reading. i dont even wanna think about it. its a nightmare. whats more, im her only student whos taking it in July. i know its a good thing that she has confidence in me but really, its gonna give me insomnia all the time. like the quality of my sleep isnt bad enough! i wasted no time anyways. this is the first 2 lines of Kemp's Jig and Moon River plus the next 2 lines of both songs which i started on last night. i like Kemp's Jig and i've been playing it so much that i've memorized the notes which you might notice from the video that im not even looking at the sheet music. hehe. as for Moon River, i think its really boring. theres a 3rd song, Caribbean Sunshine which is not recorded cos i just started on it last night and im still pretty strange towards it. i look totally geeky hur. haha. a practice session(scales, sight-reading, 3 pieces of songs) can really wear me out. i always feel tired after each session. mentally and physically exhausting! even swimming is not as tiring. so i am officially a full-time violin student now, i guess. i really need to take a shower to freshen up. work hard towards your dreams, people!! |
